October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and we all need to educate ourselves and embody awareness for our own security as well as aiding our customers through our expertise. They look to us to be the leaders in this space and there is a common saying that cyber security is a team sport. This is not something driven by just the CISO’s or security departments, cyber security and security in general affects each of us in our professional and personal lives.

The Cyber Readiness Program is a practical, step-by-step guide to help small and medium-sized enterprises become cyber ready. Completing the Program will make their organization safer, more secure, and stronger in the face of cyber threats. As leaders in this space, we need exposure to the industry and then the knowledgeable cyber culture to demonstrate who we are and what we are about.

The Cyber Readiness Institute was launched July 2017 by senior leaders in government, industry, and cybersecurity serving on the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity, including the Commissioners and the Executive Director. This independent, bipartisan Commission was tasked in 2016 to develop recommendations for securing the digital economy and provide a roadmap for the incoming Administration. The objective of CRI was to follow-up on the recommendations of the Commission Report, with a specific focus on providing prescriptive, accessible, and free content and tools to improve the resilience and readiness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to secure global value chains.[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][heading]
